Did you know you are entitled to grants to make your home warmer, save money on your fuel bills and help the environment? Hastings Borough Council supports HEAT Sussex, which provides large grants and heavily discounted prices towards loft insulation.
Homeowners and private tenants living in Hastings are being urged to avoid the cost of growing fuel bills by taking part in the HEAT Sussex Project.
With fuel prices such as electricity, likely to rise by up to 30% in the near future, managers of the HEAT Sussex Project say now is the ideal time to improve home insulation levels.
People taking part in the HEAT Sussex Project will benefit by keeping their homes warmer reducing their heating bills and reducing the levels of potentially harmful Carbon Dioxide entering the atmosphere.
For those households receiving benefits, the HEAT Sussex project is also able to provide free cavity wall and loft insulation.
Danny Morgan, from the HEAT project, said:
"Each home wastes on average £200 every year paying for fuel that has escaped as a result of poor insulation. With the imminent hike in electricity and gas prices that figure is set to rise even higher. So whether you are on benefits or not, the HEAT Sussex Project can help keep your home warmer while reducing fuel bills."
"We would now urge those people in Hastings to contact us so we can start to improve the energy efficiency of their homes and save money."
