Skateboarding Lightens Up

Skateboarders and BMX riders are celebrating after floodlights were installed at White Rock Gardens.  Councillor Jay Kramer, portfolio holder for leisure, said:

"The floodlit ramps, which operate from dusk until 10.30pm every evening, have already proved very busy and popular, with positive feedback from the young people attracted, through word of mouth, to the skateboard and BMX parks.  They will provide young people in Hastings with an evening venue where they can pursue their leisure activities in safety and for longer."

The floodlighting project is just one of many planned and funded by Hastings Borough Council.  The next project planned for White Rock Gardens will be a multi- use games area for basketball, football and netball.
