If Glastonbury is a bit on the muddy side then try a festival a bit closer to home and with far less dirt.
The event kicks off on Saturday with a kids jamboree between 10am and 1pm. Children and their parents are invited to have a go at juggling, art, singing, dancing, storytelling, puppetry and film making in these free workshops, courtesy of Andy Bosco, Ben Fairlight, Gizmo DIY Theatre Co and the Community Circus.
St Mary-in-the-Castle plays host for a festival weekend on September 10 and 11, with two days of entertainment for the whole family.
A tour of the auditorium takes place at 1.30pm.
Fans of Edward Lear’s work have a treat in store at 3pm, when How Pleasant to Know Mr Lear is shown. Barn dance the night away with the much admired Spinning Jenny band on Saturday night, complete with a licensed bar.
