There is no better way to enjoy a summer’s day out and about in East Sussex than on a bicycle. There is so much to see and do and East Sussex is home to some of the finest cycle routes in the South East. A new collection of cycle route maps is about to be published by East Sussex County Council to help promote environmentally-friendly transport and tourism in the county. These will include some wonderful traffic-free sections suitable for all abilities and age groups.
The Hastings and Rother circular will head northwards from Hastings to Battle, Robertsbridge and Bodiam before returning via Northiam and Brede. The new maps will be launched at this year’s East Sussex cycle and walks festival on July 9 and 10 at Firle Place.
