We organised this February Half Term event at William Parker School so we could talk directly to over 170 young people about their ideas for the future of Hastings & St Leonards.
Twenty two organisations, all of which are involved with young people, helped us by providing a morning of sport, art and play for 8-11 year olds and an action-packed afternoon session for 12-19 year olds.
Councillor Jay Kramer, portfolio holder responsible for Leisure and Culture, said:
"Young People are our future and we're committed to involving them in our decision making. It was great to see so many taking part in the DJ workshops, the theatre, the art and the sports. This unique day will provide priceless evidence from children and young people about what needs to change over the next ten years to make the town a better place."
