The third 'Street Fair' was held in Priory Meadow Shopping Centre, and staffed by councillors and council officers during September.
Council Leader Jeremy Birch said: "This was an extremely popular event, with many hundreds of residents taking the opportunity to quiz us about the services we offer, and our plans for the future.
"Taking to the street like this allows us to find out exactly what concerns the people of Hastings and St. Leonards. And while there were a lot of questions, it was heartening to hear so many positive comments about what we've done, and our dynamic plans for the future.
"I would like to thank the many council staff and councillors who helped, the staff from Priory Meadow Shopping Centre, but most of all the hundreds of residents who took the time and trouble to come and talk to us, and made the exercise so worthwhile."
