On yer Bike

Bike Maps

The first ever cycle map of routes to take your bike around and about in the town, is now out!

The Council has teamed up with local group BUG (Hastings & St Leonards Bicycle Users Group) to produce the map, as part of its commitment to creating better, greener and more sustainable transport links and options around the town.

The map shows the route of the National Cycle Network Route 2 and suggests alternative routes for cyclists, avoiding main roads and including the Hastings Greenway.

It also shows on and off road pleasure routes as well as how steep routes are, information on local cycle shops, tourist attractions, the Good Cycling Code and different cycling signs.

The maps are available from Hastings Information Centre, Queens Square and cycle shops throughout in the town.

If you are a keen cyclist, and would like to know more about the BUG (Bicycle Users Group) or are interested in promoting and getting involved in different transport options, contact Transport Planner Sarah Isnell 783322 or email sisnell@hastings.gov.uk
