Town Centre Boost

Behind the scenes in Hastings & St Leonards, teams are working to improve two of our town centres. Monica Adams-Acton, manager of the two Hastings Regeneration Partnership (HRP) town centre projects says that recent work and funding has helped FastPrint & Design in St Leonards to expand into new premises and is grant-aiding the costs of creating a new website so the make-over for girls business, Daydream Girl in Cambridge Road can find new electronic markets. The project has also contributed to creating many new shop signs and funding for building improvements which includes work on CaveMoon, Pure Clothing Co, Dolland and Aitchison, Hairport and America Ground.

Monica pointed out that the shop fascia at the America Ground shop was technically very interesting and produced spectacular results. Bob Tipler, president of the brand new retro products shop called America Ground Ltd says, “We wanted to project an image of being well established and having found a small property in The America Ground that suited our purposes, the town centre regeneration grant made the difference between us doing the job properly rather than just adequately.

For more information about these and other grants, please contact the Town Centre Management team on 781871 or email sewebb@hastings.gov.uk
