This year's Council run Coastal Currents festival has completely taken off - we've been treated to the sensational and stunning Sticky, which saw 5000 flock to Alexandra Park for the outdoor sound, theatre, music and light spectacle.
The magical hour long performance entranced the crowd and there was more than one rapturous face in the audience.
Sixteen local volunteers were lucky enough to take part in the project. Sticky left the shores of Hastings & St Leonards for ones slightly further away - its next performance took place in Australia!

The first ever street festival took over the town centre one Saturday in mid- September - foot stomping music, mime, theatre and a random bullfight entertained the expectant and not so expectant crowds. The majority of events were put on by local groups - some of who ran workshops with young people throughout the Summer in order to perform.
Others were international artists. Brighton based Zap Productions organised the event and local groups and artists rose to the occasion with the artistic talent that Hastings & St Leonards seems to foster so well.
Add to the success the dozens of open studios and exhibitions at venues across the town of local artists' work and there can be no doubt that Coastal Currents does what it says: offers a mind blowing amount of local arts talent for our consumption and the festival is now riding the crest of an almost national wave!
As this year's festival draws to a close, we've pulled the highlights out so that you don't miss a thing!
