Foyle's Back

Following on from last year's successful pilot shoot, the cast and crew of the Second World War detective series 'Foyle's War' returned to the town in April. Croft Road, Ebeneezer Road, the Fishing Beach and the Pier were among several locations used for an array of dramatic action sequences that included a car chase and a recreation of the Dunkirk evacuation.

Lead actor Michael Kitchen, who also features in the upcoming Bond movie 'Die Another Day', was in attendance for the entire shoot and made the most of his time in the town by taking in some of the unique sights and sounds. The entire team will be back in June for additional filming and the four two-hour episodes are currently scheduled for the Wednesday 8pm slots on ITV1 during November. Look out for an extended feature on 'Foyle's War' in the next edition of 'About'.
