Winds of Change

Thanks to everyone who sent in their comments and filled in the questionnaire about the Winds of Change lighting scheme, which appeared in the Autumn edition of About.

The survey revealed that although respondents were split half and half on whether they liked the new lights in Pelham Place car park, 82% would welcome further lighting schemes on the seafront.

The main reasons that residents did not like the lights was their location - "in a car park" and "too close to other lighting", rather than their design. However, most respondents were keen to see other lighting schemes further along the promenade and elsewhere in the town.

The consultation was very useful and all comments will be taken into consideration as the Council develops more lighting schemes.
