This grant assists low income households by providing grants for insulation and heating for homeowners and private sector tenants. A grant of up to £2000 is available to householders in receipt of either income related or disability benefit. The Warm Front grant offers a package of measures including loft insulation, draught proofing, cavity wall insulation, hot water insulation and energy advice.
The Warm Front Plus grant is available for householders over the age of 60 and in receipt of benefit and offers the same measures as the Warm Front grant as well as a gas or electric heating system.

Heat and Sun grants are available to all Hastings private householders regardless of income. A grant of up to £175 is available for insulation of lofts and cavity walls. Grants of £250 are available towards the costs of solar water heating in addition to a specially discounted fully fitted price of just over £2000.
