A Dedicated Volunteer

Dedicated Volunteer Ranger Kay Gobbett is 79, works a minimum of 36 hours per week at the Country Park Visitor Centre, and has done since 1993!

This year, Kay was given a Civic Pride award recognising her 'individual outstanding contribution as a voluntary worker in Hastings'. She was presented with a cup, certificate and cheque by the Mayor of Hastings, Jackie Dowling.

Although mainly based in the Visitor Centre, Kay also takes part in surveys that are carried out in the Country Park such as butterfly counts

he event is becoming one of the most popular sporting events in the country and is supported by Hastings Borough Council, other local businesses and is organised by Hastings Runners.
