Very early in the morning Uncle Gary came to take us to the Heathrow airport, which is in London. It was a bit scary when the aeroplane took off and it made my ears go pop. I looked out of the window and saw lots of clouds. They looked like cotton wool.
When we got to Los Angeles airport we went in a yellow taxi to our hotel in Hollywood. I was very tired. On the first day we went on a tour and we saw famous people's big houses. We went to Santa Monica pier and we also went to Venice Beach and Marina Del Rey. We also saw some very tall buildings in downtown LA.
The next day we went to Disneyland I saw Mary Poppins. I went on Splash Mountain. It was scary but I liked it and had two turns. I went to Mickey Mouse's house and I had my photo taken with him. The Peter Pan ride and It's a Small World ride were nice and good. The Pirates of the Caribbean ride and the Indiana Jones ride were scary so I kept my eyes closed most of the time! I bought a Winnie the Pooh jumper with my Tooth Fairy money, my tooth came out in England and so I took it all the way to America so that I could get my Tooth Fairy money. We saw the Disney parade and at 8 o clock it was time to go back to the hotel.
It was very hot in LA and there were lots of palm trees. The swimming pool at the hotel was just the right size and I especially like the spa and I didn't want to get out.
Next we went on another aeroplane to Hawaii. When we got there a nice lady gave us a necklace made of real flowers. It was called a Lei. In Hawaii, Aloha means hello. It was very hot so we went to Wakiki beach the water was see-through and little fish swam around my feet. I screamed at first but I got used to it. Everyone in Hawaii thought that we came from Australia but I told them I was English. There were lots of palm trees and flowers that were very colourful. I sang two songs from Grease in a karaoke evening and everyone gave me a big clap. I bought a hula outfit and we went to see a hula show. I did some hula dancing the girls were very beautiful their hair was long and brown. At Honolulu Zoo I saw lots of animals Giraffes, Elephants and Turtles.
The best bit of the holiday is when we went to the Sealife Park. I fed some turtles and I saw some sea lions. But best of all I went in the splash u dolphin pool. I touched a real dolphin called Maui he felt like soft leather he did some tricks and he splashed everyone. We also learnt that you must never drop rubbish on the beach because dolphins don't chew they just swallow and if they ate a plastic lid off a cup it could kill them. I got a certificate in dolphinology. Hawaii was really beautiful.
Next we went to San Francisco it was very hilly. We went on a cable car to fisherman's wharf we went on a boat and we saw Alcatrez which was a prison a long time ago and we went under the Golden Gate Bridge it was 10x bigger than London Bridge and it was painted red. There were lots of street entertainers. One man hid behind some branches and made people jump when the walked past. He did it to me and I hid behind my Mummy, he was called the Bushman he really made me laugh.
Then it was time to go home. I thought my holiday was brilliant especially because I won it. But it was nice to come home to Hastings and see my family and all my school friends.
