Skate Park

Hastings Skate Park Design

In spring this year a major consultation took place with skaters and bmxers in the town, to find out how many would use a skate park if there was one in the town.

Postcard questionnaires were put into various venues in the town - including sports shops, bars and schools. The questions were phrased to find out whether they rode a bike, board or rollerblades and whether they thought there was a need for a skate park in Hastings and whether they would use it.

A massive 911 replies were sent back to the Council.

Further consultation took place at a national bike show by local business Backyard/Seventies. A further 186 potential users from outside of the town were identified. The Council will be using all the info gathered to assess the best way to progress the project.
