Playdays in the Park 2001

People playing in the Park

Playdays in the park are back for the summer! So if you want your children to enjoy a range of activites outside with lots of other children, why not take them down to Alexandra Park on Wednesdays during August between 10.30am and 2.30pm.

All the events are free and fun for all the family - all children must be accompanied. Children will be able to get involved in painting, collage, sticking and making musical instruments, tree climbing, kite making, play dough, clay, woodwork, sand and water play, sports activities.

There will also be an opportunity to join the Passport to Leisure Scheme, find out about local food co-ops, health information and sun safety.

The aim of Playdays is to promote the value of play and bring together play providers and local groups to share ideas and activities and offer a meeting place for families throughout the summer holidays.
